CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
At Executive Services we have always strived to think about our companies surroundings and the effect our business practices have on them. We have implemented many strategies and rules designed to help our environment and community. We also encourage our employees to go home and use some of the knowledge and strategies at home.
Recycling
· We try to recycle all the paper and cardboard we use in our business lives. This includes sensitive material that we have shredded. Anything from printed signs and manifests can be recycled as we have no choice but to print out this information.
· All plastic and glass waste is also recycled. This is extremely important in our transportation business in the USA as a lot of water bottles are used and left by clients.
· We are in the practice now of re-using some paper and cardboard as note paper and then recycling it afterwards.
Repay your carbon footprint.
We are now implementing a way for people to “repay” their carbon footprint that they cause when they travel in our transportation or caused by travelling through the airport. There are many ways to do this on the internet and we feel it is time to offer this service to our clients.
Charity work
Not only do we encourage our employees to get involved in charity work in their spare time but we as a company have a chosen charity.
· The Christian Lewis Fund is a charity that sends terminally or seriously ill children on their last wish vacations. We look after them at the airport in the UK and USA. We also lend them child seats in the USA and respond to any problems they have. All of this is at no charge to them. We also regularly donate.
· Employees are encouraged to volunteer for British Airways funded event “Dreamflight”. A British Airways 747 airplane comes to Orlando once a year filled with seriously ill children. Volunteers spend the days with groups in the parks to help look after the children.
Other
· We do not let our transportation vehicles remain on idle for very long. This saves on gas and emissions.
· In our offices we make sure we turn off all lights and electronic equipment that is not in use. This saves electricity and our carbon footprint.
We encourage everyone to help with the environment as much as possible and our small steps are just a start!
